Suzanne Snyder is the Dean of Pratt Munson, dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and student success in art and design education. Previously, she was the Program Director of Graphic Design and Visual Communication at Champlain College, where she taught from 2008 to 2024 and was promoted to full professor in 2021.
Snyder is a site evaluator and chair for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and formerly chaired education for AIGA Vermont. She has presented academic papers at numerous conferences, including the AIGA and the National Conference on Liberal Arts and the Education of Artists.
With an extensive background in graphic design, Snyder has worked at firms in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, served as a Design Strategist at Zurich Financial Services, and consulted for non-profit and government organizations including the World Health Organization, Maryland State Department of Education, and Crittenton National Services.
Her work has been featured in Graphic Design USA, Graphis, PRINT, and ID Magazine, earning recognition from CIO Magazine and the Insurance Marketing Communications Association.
Snyder holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Towson University and a BFA from the University of the Arts.
